Rani and Margie - sales@ellandsunday.com.au
https://www.ellaandsunday.com.au
ella & sunday launched in 2015 with a simple design approach to create beautiful clothing you can wear every day. Inspired by a love of family, the label takes its name from my beautiful daughter, Ella.
We release two new collections a year and prefer not to follow the established seasonal timelines of summer & winter. Our garments can be worn year-round, layered & reimagined, built upon season after season.
We search for natural fibres including cotton, linen, silk & blends of cotton/linen & cotton/silk. We also source hand loomed fabrics like raw cotton & cotton/silk. These fabrics are hand printed & hand stitched using traditional techniques.
Our limited collections are made under our watchful eye in ethically managed fashion houses in India. We personally visit our tailors and work alongside the teams who make our garments. They are relatively small businesses where the owner/operators are hands-on and we get to know many of the staff. The integrity of our business is important to us, as it is to you.
At the heart of the label is designer Rani Wilkinson and her love of natural fibres; cotton, linen and silk. Rani studied Fashion Production in Custom Clothing and honed her skills in a career that includes experience in both haute couture and mass production companies. Fashion has run in her blood since childhood.

Girls Wear sizes 6 - 16. Ethically and sustainably made from linen and merino wool.Have you ever been frantically trying to get yourself ready for an event, and you’ve sent your family off to get in their ‘nice’ outfit, when your 11 year old daughter walks out wearing something from an Miley Cyrus music video?
“No, not that, go put on that nice dress I got you when we went out the other day from the place!” you yell as you try not to stab yourself in the eyeball with your mascara.
“But I hate it. I’m wearing this!”. Further arguments ensue. Great, you are already late.
Why can’t this be easy? You know that she is growing up, and that she is making her own decisions, and you encourage that. You were that young once too, and can relate.
But why does that self expression have to happen RIGHT NOW?
Well, this was the moment of panic for me. I had 5 children to get out the door, and the little ones were easy. But my bigger kid?
How I wished for that elusive outfit that she would wear without question.
That ‘nice outfit’ that I knew was hanging in her closet, that I knew she loved, that I loved seeing her wear.
I didn’t want to stress about that one particular detail EVERY TIME WE LEFT THE HOUSE. I literally had no time to deal with this ongoing drama. Did I mention I was late?
